Let the Game begin.
So you want to determine who is the best Monopoly™ player, based entirely on strategy and negotiation skill, with luck having only a minimal effect? Here are your rules:
- There are five or seven players. Any other number is just a "friendly" game.
- Playing order is auctioned for the first five rounds of turns. The fifth auction will determine the playing order for the remainder of the game. The difference between the highest bidder in each auction and the lowest bidder will be awarded to the lowest bidder; the difference between the second highest bidder and the second lowest bidder will be awarded to the second lowest bidder, etc.
- Playing cards are substituted for dice.
- Players may finish their turns only on property squares or Jail.
- Players may agree to give free passes and immunity from rent.
- Only rents of $20 or more will be collected.
All other rules in the official rules that do not conflict with these rules will remain in effect.
